Race Relations day 2019

Kia ora

Race Relations day is all about celebrating different cultures and the wide variety of places we are from.

"We are all different but we stand together! We are all the same."

Welcome to 2019!

Kia ora

We have been having such a busy term in Room 10. Here are some snapshots of things we have been doing at school!

Swimming lessons - Here we are practicing our floating, blowing bubbles, holding our breath and kicking.

Hosting team assembly -  We made Maori Poi to do "Ere Taku Poi".

We made paper dolls to send to Christchurch. We wanted to create a long, long line of paper dolls that show kids of all different cultures, together holding hands, spreading our love for the families who lost loved ones.

Book week 2018

We dressed up for book day! Here are some of our costumes. Don't we look fabulous?

We all wanted to be "Things" just like Miss Fok!

Even the Tui Team teachers got dressed up too! Can you guess what book we are from?

Room 10 hosting the whole school assembly

Here is the dance we performed. It was to a song about volcanoes. We made up the groovy actions!

Here is the play we acted out. It is called "The Sunflowers that went flop". It was a play based on the book by Joy Cowley. We hope you enjoy our awesome acting.

100th day Party

On Tuesday it was our 100th Day in Year 2! We did many fun activities based on the number 100 and had a little party to celebrate being 100 days smarter.

Here we are doing 100 thumbprints.

We had to count 100 pieces and make a picture using all 100 pieces. Check out our creations!

Then we had to decorate our 100th day ties and crowns. Don't they look fabulous?

We then had to see how many "things" we could do in 100 seconds. We tried star jumps, clicks, toe touches and many more!

At last we got to have a special treat. Using 100s and 1000s to make a yummy snack!

Yay!
